Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy

Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) is designed for individuals seeking profound and lasting change. While ketamine can be an effective treatment for depression, anxiety, trauma, and other mental health concerns, my approach extends beyond symptom relief. It is designed for those who want to better understand themselves, break free from limiting patterns, heal unresolved wounds, and create meaningful transformation in their lives.

I have developed a specialized integrative protocol that combines principles from psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), EMDR, Somatic Therapy, Interpersonal Neurobiology, and Transpersonal Psychology. This model recognizes that healing occurs not only through insight, but through experiences that help us reorganize how we relate to ourselves, others, and the world around us.

Many of my clients are highly capable, successful individuals who have learned to navigate life through independence, achievement, responsibility, perfectionism, or self-reliance. While these qualities are often strengths, they can also become protective strategies that limit vulnerability, connection, authenticity, and emotional well-being. Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy creates an opportunity to gently move beyond these patterns, allowing deeper healing and new possibilities for growth to emerge.

Treatment begins with preparation sessions where we identify the changes you hope to make, clarify intentions, and create a therapeutic roadmap for your journey. Ketamine dosing sessions are approximately three hours in length and are intentionally curated to support a safe and meaningful experience. Sessions may include guided imagery, breathwork, music, aromatherapy, and sensory grounding techniques that help facilitate insight, emotional processing, and self-exploration.

Integration sessions take place the following day and are considered one of the most important components of the process. Together, we explore the themes, emotions, memories, and insights that emerged during the ketamine experience and translate them into practical changes in mindset, relationships, behaviors, and daily life. This is where meaningful and lasting transformation begins to take root.

I view Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy as a collaborative partnership. Similar to a coaching relationship, I walk alongside you throughout the process, helping you remain connected to your intentions, deepen your understanding of emerging themes, and translate insight into sustainable change.

Medical screening and ketamine prescribing services are provided through Journey Clinical, an independent medical partner. Their team conducts a comprehensive medical evaluation to determine whether ketamine treatment is medically appropriate and safe for you.

Treatment protocols are individualized and typically range from 6 to 16 weeks depending on your goals, clinical needs, and desired pace of treatment.

The goal of this work is not simply to reduce symptoms. It is to help you become more integrated, more connected, and more fully aligned with who you are beneath the adaptations, defenses, and survival strategies that may no longer serve you.

MDMA Assisted Psychotherapy

(Not offered at this time. Once it passes the final stages with the FDA check back here. But for now feel free to educate yourself)

MDMA- 3,4 Methylenedioxymethamphetamine is an empathogen-entactogen; stimulant that helps faciliate healing in conjunction with psychotherapy in a clinical setting.

MDMA is in the final research stages with the FDA naming it as breakthrough therapy; a drug that treats life threatening conditions.

MAPS (Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies) MDMA phase 3 FDA trial targeting PTSD resulted in 80% of participants suffering with PTSD no longer meeting PTSD diagnostic criteria and reported a clinical meaningful response after three medicine sessions.

“The basic premise of this treatment approach is that the therapeutic effect is not due simply to the physiological effects of the medicine; rather, it is the result of an interaction between the effects of the medicine, the therapeutic setting and the mindsets of the participant and the therapists.” (Treatment Manual: MDMA Assisted Therapy for MDMA. Michael Mithoefer, 2017).

Researched populations of effectiveness: PTSD, Social Anxiety, Major Depressive Disorder, Substance Abuse Disorder and Alcohol Use Disorder, Anxiety Associated with Life-threatening Illness, Eating Disorders, OCD (ongoing research is and will continue to identify other treatment populations including healthy volunteer studies).
